Terms of Use

Article 1 General Provisions


  • 1. These Terms of Use define the matters to be observed by the users of ISIC JAPAN, an Internet site operated by Academic Pass Inc. and the relationship between the users and the Company.

  • 2. Users of this service shall use this service with full understanding of the contents of this TOS and agree to abide by the contents of this TOS.

  • 3. We provide various services using the Service. In such cases, we may establish separate terms of use for each individual service.

Article 2 Definitions


  • The following terms used in these Terms of Use shall have the following meanings

  • User: A person who uses or intends to use the Service.

  • Registrant: An individual who has completed the issuance procedures for the various cards provided by the Service and has been approved by us.

  • Registered Information: All information entered and provided during the issuance process for each type of card.

Article 3. Revision of Terms of Use


These Terms of Use may be changed, added, or deleted at our discretion. In such cases, the changes shall take effect when we post them on our website or notify the user, and the user shall be deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms of Use when using the Service after such changes are made.

Article 4 Conditions for Issuance Procedures


  • 1. Only the person who is the registered holder of the card may apply for issuance of the card, and no card may be issued by a proxy unless there are special circumstances.

  • 2. The person who performs the card issuance procedure shall ensure that all information entered in the registration process is true and correct.

  • 3. The Issuer itself shall be responsible for the accuracy, truthfulness, and up-to-dateness of all registered information.

  • 4. Qualifications and conditions for card issuers are as follows

  • (1)

  • ISIC - For International Student Identity Card

  • ・Students enrolled in universities, junior colleges, graduate schools, colleges of technology, high schools, junior high schools, correspondence courses (universities, junior colleges, high schools), vocational schools, and special training colleges as defined by the School Education Act (Act No. 26 of March 31, 1947)

  • ITIC - For International Teacher Identity Card

  • ・Teachers who are employed full-time and have been employed for at least one year at a school that is eligible to obtain an International Student Certificate.
  • ※Elementary school teachers are not eligible for this certificate.

  • IYTC - For International Youth Travel Card

  • ・Students who are between 12 and 31 years old (until the day before their 31st birthday.)

  • The following are common

  • (1) If the applicant is a minor, he/she must have the consent of his/her legal representative.

  • (2) Possess an e-mail address.

  • (3) Agree to all the terms and conditions of this Terms of Use.

  • (4) Not belong to, or have any relationship with, anti-social forces such as organized crime groups in the past, present, or future.

  • 5. We may not accept the registration information of an individual who has completed the issuance procedure if any of the following items are applicable to that individual. We may also revoke the approval/registration if any of the following is found to be true about the registrant, even after the approval/registration.

  • (1) The applicant does not meet or ceases to meet the qualifications and conditions for registration for the card issuance procedure.

  • (2) If the registration information entered is found to contain false information.

  • (3) If you fail to receive any e-mail from us; or

  • (4) In any other case in which we deem the registration for this service to be inappropriate.

  • 6. The registrant agrees that the registration information and the registrant's information obtained by us through the use of this service shall be handled in accordance with the "Privacy Policy" separately stipulated by us.

Article 5. Compliance with the Use of the Service


When using the Service, the following acts (including acts that may induce such acts and preparatory acts) are prohibited.

  • (1) Actions that violate the laws and regulations of Japan or the country or region where the customer is located at the time of use.

  • (2) Posting, posting, disclosing, providing, or transmitting (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Posting, etc.") any material that offends social norms, public order and morals, infringes the rights of others, or causes inconvenience to others.

  • (3) disrupt or interfere with the functioning of our servers or network

  • (4) Interfere with our services, advertisements distributed by us, or services or advertisements provided on our site.

  • (5) Use the service for a purpose different from the original purpose of providing the service in light of the purpose of providing the service.

  • (6) Obtaining IDs or passwords from others, or disclosing or providing IDs or passwords to others, regardless of the means used.

  • (7) Any act to provide benefits directly or indirectly to antisocial forces in relation to our services.

Article 6 Disclaimer


  • 1. We shall be exempt from liability for default of our obligations if such default is not caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence. If the contract with the registrant for use of the service under the TOS constitutes a consumer contract as defined in the Consumer Contract Act, the above disclaimer shall not apply, and we shall be liable for damages within the scope of damages that could normally arise, except in cases caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence, and in the case of card issuance, up to the amount of the card issuance cost. We shall be liable for damages up to the amount of the card issuance cost in the case of card issuance.

  • 2. We shall not be liable for any default of service provided by a partner (*) in relation to the Service.
    * "Service Partner" means our distributors and sales partners.

Article 7 Interruption, Modification, Suspension, or Termination of this Service


  • 1. We may suspend this service without prior notice to users when we deem it difficult to provide this service due to system failure and maintenance, natural disasters such as power outages and fire, or other technical or operational reasons. 2.

  • 2. we shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the user based on the measures taken by us in accordance with this article.

Article 8 Transfer of the Service


In the event that the Company transfers the business of the Service to a third party, the Company may transfer its position as operator of the Service, its position under the TOS, rights and obligations under the TOS, member registration information, and other information to the transferee of such business transfer in conjunction with such transfer, and the registrant of the Service shall agree in advance to such transfer. The registrant of the Service agrees in advance to the transfer of his/her position under the TOS, rights and obligations under the TOS, and the user's registration information and other information.

Article 9 Governing Law and Court of Jurisdiction


  • 1. These Terms of Use and any agreements based on them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, and even if any part of these Terms of Use is invalid, the other applicable provisions shall remain in full force and effect. 2.

  • 2. The Tokyo District Court shall be the court of exclusive jurisdiction for the first trial in the event that litigation or other legal action is required in connection with the Service.
